A Letter to Daddy (Bryan)
I have been thinking a lot about what our life is like right now. A lot of people use the word BUSY to describe our life. I would like to define it as STRETCHING for the purpose of GROWTH. I can be so analytical sometimes. There is lots of things that come to mind to say to you, tho you know i'm not good at writing them down, there are a few things I would like to mention.
You have been working crazy hours since March, and we find ourselves in the trenches of these summer months. Those close to us know how we have struggled and how tired we are, but yet I find myself, for the first time, comforted and loved by those around me and at peace and not worrying about the future. My desire with this letter is to encourage you. So often, I bring you down with my negativity and my worrying, my "constructive criticism" and my non reality/negative perspective.
So we start fresh, everyday, allowing God to work in our lives. God always has a bigger picture for our life than we could ever imagine. This life we live was never suppose to be easy. We talk about us being in a season and to just get thru it, and tho its is a season, I think its so much more. Every season we come into will have its challenges. We aren't just suppose to "get thru it" or survive. We have to THRIVE and keep the bigger picture always before us. Finding JOY in the hard times, not in what we do, but in who we are IN CHRIST.
So, keep on going!!! I know your tired, I know you can get discouraged when there seems to be no end and it seems like we can't get ahead. But there is no one else I would rather struggle thru this life with!! We support you! We love you! I marvel at your work ethic and your drive. Tears come to my eyes every time I think about the fact that our boys have you for their Dad, there is no one else like you! Tho we miss you, we are doing ok. We wait and look forward to the nights you will be home.
I made this Flipagram for you. Every time I hear this song, I think of you. Thank you for all you do for us!

Thank you so much for writing this! It means so much to me that you would take the time to write and express your perspectives and what you have been feeling. I love living this life with you and I wouldn't trade it for anything. You are an amazing wife and an awesome mom to our boys. I love you!
ReplyDeleteThis is so incredibly nice, Jerelyn! I am so impressed in how well you expressed yourself. Keep up the good work, both you and Bryan, and your rewards will show themselves in time! We are proud of ALL OF YOU!!!!
