A Day with My Boys

I have many if not all my days spent with my two precious boys, but today we had the privilege of adding the biggest, most important boy to our day, DADDY!!!!! Nothing was on the agenda today, nothing we HAD to do! So we spent it coloring, snacking, taking Christmas lights down(finally, after 2 1/2 years of them being up), throwing balls, scooters, a couple falls, pizza for supper, and a bath and a movie. WOW!! What a fantastic day!!

Earlier this week, we realized that we had nothing going on today so all week we had been looking forward to today. It didn't disappoint :-) We were up late last night, which is not unusual, and the boys came into our bed in the morning to wake us up, which is not unusual either, but it must of been the fact we didn't have to go anywhere, so there was no pressure to get up. We hung out alittle in the bed. It is so cute, funny, and interesting to hear the boys talk "quietly" in the middle of the bed while we lay there trying to pull ourselves out of the bed. It is a wonder how busy their minds are so fast and early in the morning as they are slowly taking up the whole bed and pushing us off.

Over the course of the next several hours we had breakfast, colored, watched some Mickey Mouse, cuddled with Mommy and Daddy, and got ready for the day. We headed outside to take down the Christmas lights!! I know, very late in the season. But the boys had a blast playing with some outside toys, getting some fresh air, as it snowed. Not the ideal weather to be taking down Christmas lights but, really, how often does Daddy have the time to do that. When we were done, we hit up Best Way Pizza to get warm and fill our bellys!! Came home and finished the day with a bath and a movie.

Out for supper

Taking it slow in the morning.

We are at a crossroads in our life but the one thing I can look at and know is the promises God gives me in his Word and the blessings He has given me in my life. Days like today are going to be good to look back on. Pictures to make a memory!
