I was really looking forward to this day! See, my husband does some side work apart from his youth pastor job (I feel funny calling "youth pastor" a job cause it has become so a part of our life that it doesn't seem to be a job anymore, we love what we do and seeing God work in the teens' life, but it is a paid position...) which makes, mainly his life, but our life very busy. We just don't get to see him much. Most days it is ok, he is such a good provider, so talented. There are days that I struggle with him not being around much, but those are usually days that I forget the big picture and feel sorry for myself. Anyway, he had told me that he was taking labor day off!!!! I was so excited that I started thinking of all the things we could do! I thought of all these things we could run around doing as a family--go to DelGrosso's (a small amusement park nearby), go for a picnic, do some shopping, etc. Well, after talking to Bryan, he expressed how he kind of just wanted to take it easy. It worked out perfect cause the whole day it just rained. So, we just hung out at the house and worked on projects that had been piling up. It was SOOOOOOO good to have him home! The boys just followed him around all day! One of the projects that we did was to hang our "Kurty" sign. It has been on our list to do since we moved into this house. It was something so simple, but it has taken us three years to do, haha, funny when you think about it! Just one of those things I guess. Well, it was the most fun thing to watch the boys jump in and want to be a part of every step. Something that should have taken about 15 minutes, took about an hour. They were so invovled and Bryan loved it, he is so patient with them and loves teaching them that stuff. It was a great family labor day!!!!!!!!!!

I love it!!!!! Who makes those things with the kids underneath? I'm so glad you had a good day!
ReplyDeleteSO COOL!!!! I love the sign up and with the boys' names underneath! That's really neat! And, it sounds like you had such a fun day - perfect! And by the way, did the boys see that your kitchen floor is NOT level!?!!! Bryan is the perfect father to teach those boys everything he knows - and that's a LOT!!!!!
